Poor Education: SERAP Sues Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa ~Eberechy's Blog

The Socio Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) have ask the federal high court to compell Delta State Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa following the poor condition of educational system and facilities in the state.  SERAP berate that tens of thousands of Nigerian children are being left behind thus jeopardizing their future. President Muhammadu Buhari Declares Assets Ready For Swearing-In ~Eberechy's Blog.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari have submitted his assets declaration forms to the Code of Conduct Bureu CCB in compliance with the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria which precedes his oath taking and swearing-in on May 29, 2019. According to the press release, the form duly completed and signed by the President were submitted to the Chairman of the CCB Professor Mohammed Issa on behalf of the President by Sarki Abba, Senior Special Assistant, Household and Domestic Affairs. The forms as signed by the President was sworn to before a judge of Abuja high court showed no significant changes in assets as declared in 2015 by him, officials said. In the assets declaration forms, there are no new houses, no new bank accounts at home and abroad and their are no new shares acquired. The chairman of CCB commended the President for leading by example by declaring his assets in accordance with the law, officials said.

Eberechy's Blog: INEC Held Emergency Meeting Shortly After Supreme Court Judgement In Zamfara State.

Following the supreme court judgments delivered on Friday May 24, 2019. On Governorship, National and State Assembly elections in Zamfara State. The Independent National Electoral commission INEC held an emergency meeting shortly after the judgment. Through the press release by the National Commissioner and chairman, Information and voter education committee, Festus Okoye Esq. INEC said the emergency meeting was held to consider the court's decision. Meanwhile, the supreme court ruled that the All Progressive Party APC did not hold valid party primaries as required by law. It therefore held that all the votes scored by the APC in the said elections are wasted votes. The court declared that the candidates of  political parties with the second highest votes and the requisite spread should be declared as having been elected.
