Rivers Extra Judicial Killings, Another Blood Baths After Lekki Massacre

Residents of Oyigbo local government area of Rivers State has been under siege by the military over the week. Information has continued to surface with evidences of residents being arrested through un-authorised house to house search by soldiers at Afam district of Oyigbo.



The governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike had on Wednesday 28th October 2020. Signed an executive order reinforcing the ban of the group and also directed security agencies and the Chairmen to fish out and deal with any member of IPOB in the community following the unrest in Nigeria after the killing of unarmed protesters at Lekki toll gate on 20th of October which affected some parts of country including Rivers State. 


Wike has alleged that IPOB members are responsible for the deaths of security officials and burning of houses in Rivers State during the unrest.

However, residents of Oyigbo have lamented over the past few days of heavy presence of military men shooting all over the area. Residents also said that some of their men have gone missing, that soldiers would invade a building, arrest any male adult ranging from the ages of 15-35 which none have returned. 


Meanwhile, DailyTimeTV.Com has on 29th of October reported that, at least 15 members of IPOB were arrested and 17 including 2 women were executed by soldiers who attacked the community. 





An eye witness Nwankwo Peterson who told DailyTimeTV about the killings said 


"We found several bodies of people executed and thrown onto buses"


"Many people here have fled for safety reasons, but others are trapped. The army occupied all communitiesand and borders which made it difficult for others to leave". Said Nwankwo Peterson. 


Recall tha Nigerians are still mourning the loss of many promising youths who were being massacred by soldiers in Lekki toll gate on 20th of October.
