Breaking: Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe Dies At 95


Robert Gabriel Mugabe, the former Zimbabwean revolutionary who served as prime minister and later becomes President has died at the age of 95.

"Announcing his demise on Twitter, Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa said "it is with utmost sadness that i announce the passing on of Zimbabwe's founding father and former President, Cde Robert Mugabe".

"Mugabe was an icon of liberation, a pan-Africanist who dedicated his life to the emancipation and empowerment of his people. His contribution to the history of our nation and continent will never be forgotten.  May his soul rest in eternal peace"he said.

Mugabe was the only leader Zimbabwe had known after the battle for independence from Britain in 1980 until vice president Mnangagwa succeeded him in 2018 election. He served as prime minister from 1980 - 1987 and then became the President from 1987 - 2017.

He was born to a poor Shona family in kotama, Southern Rhodesia. His death came after a long stay in Singaporean hospital where he was being treated for an undisclosed ailment which required for his annual trip to abroad over the last few years of his life.

OSUN Decides2018~ INEC Declared Osun Election Inconclusive

With the results officially announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Peoples Democratic Party has won with 254,698 votes and closely  followed by the defeated All Progressive Congress with 254,345 votes. Due to irregularities in some polling units in  Orolu local government,  Ife North and Ife south, INEC declared the election inconclusive.
