Rivers Dissociate From Planned #RevolutionNow Protest~Wike


The governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike have dissociated Rivers from the planned #RevolutionNow protest scheduled to hold on Monday 5th August, 2019.

The governor had issued a warning to the public adding that "Rivers State does not subscribe to what the RevolutionNow protest represents and is not part of the protest".

There has been speculations online over a  planned #RevolutionNow protest garnered by the Presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore who was arrested and is now in the custody of DSS.

While the agitators insisted that the RevolutionNow protest will hold across the nation with or without Sowore.

Wike have ordered the security operatives in the state to arrest any body involved in the RevolutionNow protest and also to take all necessary steps to prosecute such person.

The governor warned parents to ensure that their "children are not mislead by agents of the march to participate in the illegal protest".

He urged all council chairmen to be at alert should they notice any gathering to report  to security agencies for immediate action.

OSUN Decides2018~ INEC Declared Osun Election Inconclusive

With the results officially announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Peoples Democratic Party has won with 254,698 votes and closely  followed by the defeated All Progressive Congress with 254,345 votes. Due to irregularities in some polling units in  Orolu local government,  Ife North and Ife south, INEC declared the election inconclusive.
