NASA Astronaut Anne McClain and 2 of 59 expedition Crewmates have returned to the earth after a 204 day international space station mission.
According to reports from the NASA, the crewmates returned from the International space station on Monday 24th June, landing safely in a remote area near Zhezkazgan, Kazakhstan. At 10:47 pm. EDT [8:47 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, local time.] After spending months on science and four spacewalk abord the microgravity laboratory.
The Crewmates which was launched in December 2018. According to NASA comprising McClain, Expedition 59/Soyuz commander Oleg Kononenko of the Russia space agency Roscosmos and David saint-jacques of the Canadian Space Agency.
The crew members arrived at the space station just six hours later, during which they orbited the earth 3,264 times traveling 86,430,555 miles.
McClain, a lieutenant colonel in the U.S Army was seen assisted out of the Soyuz MS-11 that returned her and Crewmates.Oleg Kononenko of the Russian space agency Roscosmos.
"The expedition 59 crew contributed to hundreds of experiments in biology, biotechnology, physical science and Earth science, including investigations into small devices that replicate the structure and function of human organs, editing DNA in space for the first time and recycling 3D-printed material". Said NASA.
