Following the leaked Audio recordings supposed to be the voice of the chairman of Buhari Campaign Director General Rotimi Chibuike Amechi, in which he expresses disapproval and vilification over president Buhari.

The peoples Democratic Party has on this note called on President  Muhammadu Buhari to "throw in the towel and end his re-election bid".

In a press release on January 7, 2019 by Kola Ologbondiyan. Director, Media & Publicity PDP presidential campaign organisation.

The party notes that since the Audio recording leaks, neither Amechi nor the Buhari Campaign Organisation has deny or come up to give an explanation on the issue, stressing that President Buhari has lost the loyalty of his support.

"This development amply shows that the Buhari Campaign Organisation is in agreement with Amechi that President Buhari's incompetence, nepotism, insensitivity and corruption and not the 16 years of the PDP in government, are responsible for the myriad of problems facing our nation".

"Amechi's confession that President Buhari does not listen and that he does not give a hoot about the sufferings of Nigerians but laughs and glees at the misfortunes and plights of our citizens shows the world the level of disdain President Buhari holds Nigerians".

"Mr President is now merely clinging on straws and walking by his own shadows and Nigerians can now see why he is desperate to use his niece in INEC, Amina Zakari, to right himself back to power. PDP said

Meanwhile, PDP has challenged President Buhari to dare Amechi and speak out on what the party tagged as poor ratings by his own campaign organisation.

The party also expressed concern with the hope that no harm will befall any member of the All Progressive Congress Campaign Organisation while exercising freedom of expression.
