President Buhari, CAN Mourn Asake.

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his sadness over the news of passing of the General Secretary of the Christian Association of  Nigeria, Rev (Dr) Musa Asake.

In a statement through his twitter handle,  the president expressed his sadness said.

"This is a huge loss to the Christian Community in Nigeria, God Almighty grant his soul eternal rest and comfort all who mourn."

The death of Asake took place two weeks after he led a protest against the killing of Christians in the Northern part of Nigeria.

Asake, who died at the  age of 66 after a brief illness has been mourn by other Clerics, who also expressed feelings about the demise.

In an interview with newsmen,  Monsignor Gabriel Osu, Director of Social Communication, Catholic Archdioces of Lagos, said

"It is only God that understands the mystery of life and death. We are meant to live, die and go back to our maker. May the lord receive his soul and give his family the strength to bear the irreparable loss. "

Pastor Glory Akhimie of living faith church (a. k. a winners chapel) said

"It is a big loss, he always defined faith. The entire body of Christ will miss him, but our consolation is that he is resting in the Lord.
