Many feared dead as boat conveying a soccer team capsized on Uganda Lake Albert on Sunday May 19, 2019.

According to authorities, more than 15 people have lost their lives in the accident which occurred as a result of a thunderstorm, shortly after the the take off at about 300 metres from Fofo landing site in Hoima district

Meanwhile, more than 35 people have been rescued.

The local club team and their fans were travelling to a match at neighbouring Runga district when they met the ocean mishap at Lake Albert.

Rescuers were still searching for victims as death toll may rise while survivors have been taken to nearby hospitals in the district for treatments, authorities said.

OSUN Decides2018~ INEC Declared Osun Election Inconclusive

With the results officially announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Peoples Democratic Party has won with 254,698 votes and closely  followed by the defeated All Progressive Congress with 254,345 votes. Due to irregularities in some polling units in  Orolu local government,  Ife North and Ife south, INEC declared the election inconclusive.
