Since the start of the civil war in Yemen, thousands of children between the ages of five have died from malnutrition.
Tamer Kirolos, Director for Non-Profit Aid. 'Save The Children' said "we are horrified that 85,000 children in Yemen may have died because of extreme hunger since the war began. For every child killed by bombs and bullets, dozens are starving to death and it's extremely preventable".
A recent report by U N says 400,000 children are expected to suffer from severe acute malnutrition this year as a result of extreme hunger rising from 15,000 over 2017.
"Just over one year ago, the Saudi-led Coalition closed off all access to the country, effectively sealing Yemen off from the outside world. Until six weeks later when the coalition announced that ports would temporarily reopen, but restricts the key food commodities and fuel dropped by half, under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief. " Mr Mark Lowcock told U.N Security Council.

" Right now in Yemen, there are 400,000 children under the age of five who are severely malnurished. They could die any day. " said Juliet Touma, Chief of communication for the Middle East and North Africa.
According to lowcock, "since October 30, U.N Sources have observed nearly eight hundred separate incidents of shelling, armed clashes, or air strikes across Yemen."
On Monday, the U.K introduced a draft resolution at the U.N on ceasefire agreement to open all the ports and distribute much needed cash in Yemen. France have also supported this resolution, Information says.
